Not just any noodles

Food, Me

After I posted the article The great instant noodle showdown, this American guy I know tipped me off about some noodles I really should try out if I ever found them: Myojo Chukazanmai brand noodles.

These are japanese noodles and can't be found in any stores in my area (not that I know of, anyway). Therefore I got some guy visiting Tokyo bring me back some of them, and so he did. Nice fella, huh? Today I tried them out.

The package was huge compared to any other brand of noodles I've seen. Don't know if it shows, but here's a picture for those who wonder what this stuff looks like:

Now I wanted to make sure I did this properly. Shouldn't really be a major problem, now should it? Just follow the written instructions and things will be fine:

As you can clearly see this shouldn't be hard at all.

Don't know if I got it entirely right, but the noodles were soft and squishy and the soup had a rich, lasting flavour. I was supposed to make a picture of the noodles when served, but I guess I just forgot about it and ate them. I was hungry.

I like noodles. I like these noodles. Will probably order a few packs online, even though the shipping involved will be insane.

Oh that wasn't hard was it? Just remember Ai's magical words, 3minutes cooking.

Surely you'd did it alright, since mine looked the same when I ate them. :)

Hope you enjoyed them.. They took a helluva way over the world just to reach your stomach :P

You evidently didn't read the package. It clearly says four minutes.

I hate to contradict 大塚愛, but in this case it did say 4.
